Background

Kristian Davis Bailey is the communications manager at Palestine Legal, overseeing the organization’s social media, press engagement, and communications strategy.

Kristian received a BA in Comparative Studies in Race and Ethnicity at Stanford University, where he was a campus and national organizer with Students for Justice in Palestine.

Prior to working at Palestine Legal, Kristian worked as a freelance writer and journalist, publishing in AFROPUNK, Al Jazeera English, Colorlines, Ebony, Huffington Post, and with forthcoming work in Jadaliyya.

Kristian has done extensive work on building Black-Palestinian solidarity as co-founder of Black for Palestine and co-author of the 2015 Black Solidarity with Palestine Statement signed by over 1,000 Black activists including Angela Davis, Cornel West and Mumia Abu-Jamal. His work has taken him to Palestine, Lebanon, Jordan and South Africa.
