The Jewish Currents magazine describes itself as a progressive secular Jewish magazine.[1]

History

In 1946, the magazine was founded under the name Jewish Life. However in 1958, the magazine was reorganized and re-launched as Jewish Currents, with Morris Schappes as its editor.[2]

In 1978, the Editorial Board was Morris Schappes, David Platt, Sam Plevzner, Dr. Louis Harap.

New American Movement

In 1981, the Jewish Currents magazine congratulated the New American Movement on the occasion of its 10th anniversary.[3]
