The conference was held April 24-26, 1992 at the Borough of Manhattan Community College, New York City[2]

DSA job assistance

Jeff Lacher, in 1993, an organizer for the Virginia Alliance of State Employees (Communications Workers of America), got his start in the labor movement with the Graduate Student Employees Union (CWA) of the State University of New York. Lacher won his present job on the recommendation of DSAer Dominic Chan, who was then the president of GSEU.[3]

Jeff Lacher was the Organizing Coordinator for the District 4 Communications Workers of America union based in Cleveland, Ohio[7].

Endorsing Fetonte

Minnesota Democratic Socialists of America members who endorsed Danny Fetonte when he ran for DSA NPC in 2017 included Jeff Lacher – Minneapolis, John HeppenSt. Paul.[8]

Democratic Socialists of America Unity

Jeff Lacher, supported the Democratic Socialists of America Unity grouping, established for the 2017 Democratic Socialists of America National Convention in Chicago.[9]

DSA Labor Statement of Support for Danny Fetonte

In August 2017 a group of Democratic Socialists of America labor activists issued a joint statement of support for newly elected DSA NPC member Danny Fetonte. The group was fighting back against other DSAers wanting to remove Fetonte for his past work for a Texas law enforcement union.

Signatories included Jeff Lacher, Communication Workers of America. Democratic Socialists of America since 1987. [10]
