People protest "Gentrification"

Gentrification is a derisive term referring to revitalization of blighted areas.

'Lifelong Marxist'

The word Gentrification was coined by German-born British sociologist and "lifelong Marxist"[1] Ruth Glass (born Ruth Adele Lazarus, 1912–1990) in the introduction to her 1964 book "London: Aspects of Change." Ruth Glass believed "that the purpose of sociological research was to influence government policy and bring about social change, and to this end she involved herself in political debate."[2],[3]
