Accuses Israel Evacuation Flights Firm of 'Pay to Play'

Michael Barfield of the Florida Center for Government Accountability was cited in an article by Jeffrey Schweers of the Orlando Sentinel accusing Florida Governor Ron DeSantis of "pay to play" for hiring a firm for Israel evacuation flights in the wake of the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023, to relocate illegal aliens out of state and for disaster recovery services in the wake of Hurricane Ian in 2022.[3]

A Canadian company has been paid $45 million by Florida to transport migrants out of state and provide disaster recovery services while defending itself in court against accusations of insurance fraud involving storm clean-up efforts.
