Evatt Foundation is based in Sydney and is strongly aligned with the Socialist Left faction of the Australian Labor Party. It acts as a think tank.[1]

2016 NSW Labor State Conference Fringe Events

The 2016 NSW Labor State Conference Fringe Events Program was the biggest yet. Our Fringe Program saw events hosted by many different politicians, action networks and other domestic and international political figures. Over 800 Labor members, delegates and observers, participated in the Fringe Events Program.
Labor Science Network: Artificial Intelligence: Labor’s response to the Rise of the Machines Jason Clare MP, Daniel Mookhey MLC, Professor Maurice Pagnucco, Professor Frank Stilwell, Dr Christopher Sheil, and the Evatt Foundation are some of the leading researchers of computer science. During conference they gathered to discuss the state of AI, its implications, ethical issues and Labor’s policy response to this groundbreaking scientific field.[2]

In 2015 SEARCH Foundation, moved from 128 Chalmers St Sydney after 3 years sharing space with the Evatt Foundation to move in with the Australian Youth Coalition for Climate Change.[9]
