In 2001 Edgar Atadero of the Progressive Organization of Gays in the Philippines, Anakbayan of Patriotic Youth and Eleanor deGuzman gave talks entitled "Radical Youth and Gay Leaders in the Movement for National Democracy in the Philippines" The classes were held at the San Francisco based Center for Political Education, an organization closely associated with the Committees of Correspondence for Democracy and Socialism.[1]
