CHRP-PNW delegation to Merkley
April 2018, with "President Trump’s unabashed support and even explicit admiration for Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte", members of ICHRP-PNW, Drew Elizarde-Miller of People Organizing for Philippine Solidarity, and Alma Trinidad of the Malaya Movement and an at-large member of the ICHRP-US National Coordinating Committee, met with an Jagjit Nagra, an aide to Senator Jeff Merkley of Oregon, who sits on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. The US International Coalition for Human Rights in the Philippines representatives pleaded with Merkley’s office to throw further support behind the efforts of ICHRP and the Stop the Killings Campaign. Senator Merkley has called President Trump’s advisors a “War Cabinet.” [1]
