Standing for AD 26
In 2019 Caty Wagner stood from AD 26 for the California Democratic Party Central Committee.
My name is Caty Wagner and I am running for delegate to see the California Democratic Party do more for the South Central Valley. I was a delegate from 2017-2019 and in 2019, I will take an even more active role in the party and join more caucuses and committees to bring more resources and support to our region. I have been an activist in the area since 2016 and was most recently the Regional Organizing Director for a progressive PAC, managing organizers in the congressional races against devin nunes, david valadao and steve knight. I am a co-founder of PUSH, a local progressive activist group, and of CAPS, a local pesticide activist coalition, and ran the Bernie Sanders campaign for Tulare County in 2016, bringing him to Visalia and introducing him at the rally. While I had to take a step back from involvement in other elections and the local party with my last job to prevent campaign coordination, I was a donor to many local races and I am eager to dive in again. I joined this slate because we are unapologetically progressive and a part of the Blue Revolution, pushing the Democratic Party in the direction it was meant to be- to advocate for the people and the environment, not the corporations and the 1%. We need equitable representation in our delegates, party leadership, and the candidates we support. We need platforms and resolutions that support people of color, immigrants, women, LGBTQ folks like me, families, the working class, the disabled, the environment, sustainable resources, human rights, and social justice. Vote for every member of our Blue Revolution slate and we will bring about the change needed to represent you and to push California to be the beacon of progress it was meant to be.
