Education

Frederick received his Bachelor's degree in English from the University of Iowa. He received his Master's degree in Journalism from the University of North Carolina. He holds a Doctorate in Communication from the University of Colorado .[2]

Career

At the University of North Carolina, Frederick worked as a columnist and editor for The Daily Tar Heel before becoming the paper's ombudsman. Frederick has previously worked as a consultant for the Associated Press and the Knight Commission on Intercollegiate Athletics.[2] He was the Deputy Editorial and Research Director at Media Matters for America and he was the Advance at John Edwards for President.[1]
