Running for DSA leadership

In 2020 Brian Denning ran for External Co-Chair Portland Democratic Socialists of America steering committee.

As External Organizing Co-chair, I will bring my focus and urgency to our organization with the same zeal I have given to being a volunteer in the Brake Light Project, being the fundraising lead for the Bernie 2020 IE Campaign, as a member of the Labor Working Group, and as an external organizer for the Grand Central Bakery Union. External Organizing is going to be listening to and connecting with our community, developing our organizing skill base, and building alliances that strengthen our position without ever compromising our mission, in recognition that worker solidarity is the counter that breaks oppression and the one thing capitalism fears.
