Barbara Scott Winkler. was hired as Director and Assistant Professor in Women’s Studies at the University of Oregon in 2000. She was promoted to Associate Professor and currently teaches the introductory course WS 201: Women in Society and WS 409: Practicum that are required for the Women’s Studies minor. She also teaches seminars on U.S. and International women’s movements and on the history of sexuality in the U.S. She is the faculty advisor for the Women’s Studies Student Club and works with the Women’s Studies Council to promote feminist education on campus.

In 1983 Barbara Scott Winkler was an Ann Arbor Michigan delegate to the Democratic Socialists of America conference in New York City, October 14-16, 1983[1]

DSA Feminist Commission

In 1985, Barbara Scott Winkler of Michigan was listed as a member of the Feminist Commission of the Democratic Socialists of America.[2]

In 1986 she was listed as a member of the National Executive Committee of the Commission.[3]
