In 2019 Andrew Rodriguez stood from AD 55 for the California Democratic Party Central Committee.

Hello friends, activists, and fellow Democrats! Today I ask for your vote to represent the 55th Assembly District as a delegate to the California Democratic Party.

As a local elected official, and the first Democrat ever elected to the Walnut City Council, I feel an enormous obligation to help build the pipeline of future Democratic leaders in our area. I am extremely excited to be running with a slate of candidates that I feel are those leaders. We share the values of an inclusive party, a party that fights to better those who are disadvantaged and to treat everyone fairly, regardless of ethnicity, sexual orientation, and socioeconomic status.

I served as a delegate to the Democratic National Convention in 2016, and as an ADEM delegate the last two years, appointed by State Senator Josh Newman. I will continue to serve and advocate on behalf of the best interests of our tri-county communities.
