2016 labor delegation to Vietnam
Kent Wong led Howard Kling, Julio Perez, Joe Berry, Hollis Stewart, An Le, Helen Worthen, John Grant, Gene Carroll, Leanna Noble, Richard Barrera, Albert Lowe, and Emil de Guzman, on a labor delegation to Vietnam, in January 2016.
In January 2016, a 13 member labor delegation visited Vietnam to help build a lasting relationship between Vietnamese and U.S. unions and labor educators. The group visited with the Vietnamese General Confederation of Labor, two labor universities, the Vietnam Women's Academy, factories and local unions. The group connected with four U.S. labor educators who have been teaching labor relations in Vietnam through an exchange arranged by delegation leader, Kent Wong, Director of the UCLA Labor Center. The delegation participated in the first ever joint U.S./Vietnamese seminar and dialog on trade and the TPP at Ton Duc Thang University in Ho Chi Minh City.[1]
