Accountable Tech was described in October 2020 at the New York Times[1] as "a nonprofit group that includes former Facebook employees, former election officials and members of Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign" that advocates for deplatforming those who question certain narratives. The New York Times further explained that Accountable Tech "was founded this year [2020] and has pushed social media companies to be more aggressive in policing their platforms for dangerous disinformation and incitements to violence. Most of the group’s efforts have targeted Facebook."

Hillary Clinton adds Accountable Tech as "Partner" to her group Onward Together

Accountable Tech, a partner[2] of Hillary Clinton's group Onward Together, advocates online suppression of conservatives. The group was founded by Nicole Gill and Jesse Lehrich.[3]

Deplatforming Advocacy

Accountable Tech spearheaded a letter titled Open Letter to the Biden-Harris Administration: Treating Disinformation as an Intersectional Threat urging Joe Biden to "treat disinformation as a fundamental and intersectional threat" and proposes a range of supposed remedies to suppress speech on social media platforms, create and bolster federal government agencies to deal with "disinformation" and further to actively indoctrinate Americans, particularly in public schools.[4]
