Jane Addams (September 6, 1860 – May 21, 1935) is considered the mother of social work. She was the founding president of the Women's International League for Peace & Freedom.
The Progressive
Addams contributed to the liberal magazine, The Progressive. She was featured in the magazine's 100 year anniversary publication.[1]
