Cox was the author of a book entitled "Russian Roulette: The Superpower Game", with a Soviet commentary by [[Georgy Arbatov]] (Krushchev's son-in-law and suspected KGB operative), Times Books, 248 pp. $14.95. It was reviewed in the [[Washington Post]]"Book World" section of August 1, 1982 by veteran WP columnist [[Edwin M. Yoder Jr]]. Yoder, a liberal, wrote a very incisive review of the strong and weak points of Cox's views as expressed in the book, though he definitely was not a fan of President [[Ronald Reagan]] and his geo-political and military strategies. Nevertheless, some of Yoder's observations are worth reproducing below because he does challenge some of Cox's assumptions as well as revealing Cox's basic leftist stances on defense issues.
