Kevin Tyson is an Illinois activist.
Communist Party reformer
In 1991 Kevin Tyson , Illinois , was one of several hundred Communist Party USA members[1]to sign the a paper "An initiative to Unite and Renew the Party"-most signatories left the Party after the December 1991 conference to found Committees of Correspondence.
Trinity Church
In 2008 Kevin Tyson was a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ in South Chicago-as was Barack Obama. When the church's pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, came under media attack for his extreme views, Tyson 51, , a worker at the Chicago Stock Exchange defended Wright[2].
