Kevin Tyson

Kevin Tyson is an Illinois activist.

Communist Party reformer

In 1991 Kevin Tyson , Illinois , was one of several hundred Communist Party USA members to sign the a paper "An initiative to Unite and Renew the Party"-most signatories left the Party after the December 1991 conference to found Committees of Correspondence.[1]

In 1994 Kevi Tyson ,Chicago , was listed on a "Membership, Subscription and Mailing List" for the Chicago Committees of Correspondence, an offshoot of the Communist Party USA[2]

Black Radical Congress

At the 1998 Black Radical Congress in Chicago, one session was entitled;

Faith as a Weapon: Spirituality and the Role of the Church In The Radical Movement. Trinity Church

In 2008 Kevin Tyson was a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ in South Chicago-as was Barack Obama. When the church's pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, came under media attack for his extreme views, Tyson 51, , a worker at the Chicago Stock Exchange defended Wright[4].

There's a big element of racism involved in this...The black church itself is under attack.
