In 1983 Jetta Jones was an Executive Committee Member of the Lawyers Committee for Harold Washington for Mayor.[1]

Salute to Harold Washington

On April 6, 1983, the Hyde Park Herald published an endorsement from the Hyde Park/Kenwood Citizens Committee of Democratic Party Chicago mayoral candidate Harold Washington. Signatories to the endorsement included Jetta Jones and James Jones.[2]

American Civil Liberties Union

As at April 11, 1983, Jetta Jones served on the Board of Directors for the Illinois branch of the American Civil Liberties Union.[3]
