In 1992 Nancy Stein, endorsed the Committees of Correspondence national conference Conference on Perspectives for Democracy and Socialism in the 90s held at Berkeley California July 17-19.[1]

In 1992 Magdalena Avila was a doctoral candidate at the School of Public Health, UOC Berkeley. She was a founder of Technical Assistance for the People, and a founder of the Berkeley Coalition for Environmental Justice, and an activist against Chem Waste. She was interviewed about her work by Max Elbaum and CrossRoads staff member Nancy Stein, for the April 1992 joint Forward Motion/CrossRoads issue.
