Template:TOCnestleft Thomas Buffenbarger is the current International President of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, as of March 18, 2010. When he was 20 years old he was elected for his first leadership position within IAM as a steward of his apprenticeship group. Ever since then he has worked his way up to the Presidency of the organization, learning from the leaders he closely worked with for many years[1].

Buffenbarger serves on the Board of Directors of the Economic Policy Institute.[1]
Campaign for America's Future
In 1996 Thomas Buffenbarger, Machinists Union was one of the original 130 founders of Campaign for America's Future[2].
