Robert W. (Bob) Edgar (born 29 May, 1943) currently serves as the President and CEO of Common Cause, a partisan organization dedicated to advancing a liberal agenda.[1]

Congress

Bob Edgar served as a Member of the United States House of Representatives, representing the 7th District of Pennsylvania from 1975 to 1987.

Supported by Council for a Livable World

The Council for a Livable World, founded in 1962 by long-time socialist activist and alleged Soviet agent, Leo Szilard, is a non-profit advocacy organization that seeks to "reduce the danger of nuclear weapons and increase national security", primarily through supporting progressive, congressional candidates who support their policies. The Council supported Robert W. Edgar in his successful House of Representatives run as candidate for Pennsylvania.[2]

National Jobs For All Coalition

In 2010, Robert W. Edgar was listed as serving on the advisory board of the Democratic Socialists of America dominated National Jobs For All Coalition.[3]

National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy

Edgar serves on the board of directors for the National Committee for Responsible Philanthropy[4] which was co-founded by Margery Tabankin, Pablo Eisenberg, Charles Halperin, and others.[5]
