Jane Peebles is a partner in the law firm of Freeman, Freeman & Smiley, LLP. As of March 30, 2010, Peebles is a Fellow of The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. She teaches at the American Institute for Philanthropic Studies at Cal State Long Beach (1995-present). Peebles is a director and founder of The Women’s Leadership Council and is the International Advisor to the Estate Planning Committee of The California Society of Certified Public Accountants.
She has spoken at the Heckerling Estate Planning Institute, USC Tax Institute, International Bar Association (in London, Amsterdam and Mexico), American Bar Association, and National Committee on Planned Giving
Peebles received her B.A. and M.A. from the City College of New York and her J.D. from N.Y.U. School of Law.[1]
Liberty Hill Foundation
As at 2009, Jane Peebles, Partner, Karlin & Peebles, LLP, was on the Board of Directors of the Liberty Hill Foundation, a Los Angeles based organization seeking to advance movements for social change through a combination of grants, leadership training and alliance-building.[2]
