Roland Boer was in 2020 a two year veteran of the Newcastle branch of the Communist Party of Australia.[1] He is a research professor at the University of Newcastle, Australia, and Distinguished Overseas Professor at Renmin University of China, Beijing. In 2014 he received the international Isaac and Tamara Deutscher Memorial Prize for the most innovative work in the Marxist tradition.[2]

China Road conference

Roland Boer organised a “China Road” conference (sponsored by the Academy of Marxism in Beijing).[3]
