Communist Party reformer

In 1991 Marshall Garcia, New York was one of several hundred Communist Party USA members to sign the a paper "An initiative to Unite and Renew the Party" - most signatories left the Party after the December 1991 conference to found Committees of Correspondence.[1]

Conference on Perspectives for Democracy and Socialism in the 90s

The Conference on Perspectives for Democracy and Socialism in the 90s was the Committees of Correspondence's first national conference held in Berkeley, California July 17-19, 1992.[2]

Committees of Correspondence

At the Committees of Correspondence conference, Berkeley California, July 17-19, 1992. Marshall Garcia was a candidate for the CoC National Coordinating Committee-from New York-exec Vice president Local 1199, Health Care Workers Union.[4]

The following are listed in order of votes they received as members of the Committees of Correspondence National Coordinating Committee, elected at the Conference on Perspectives for Democracy and Socialism in the 90s held at Berkeley California July 17-19, 1992:[3]

In 1994 Marshall Garcia was a member of the National Coordinating Committee of the Committees of Correspondence.[5]

Cuban American Committee for Peace

In 1995, Marshall Garcia was vice president of the Cuban American Committee for Peace.[6]
