Jamilah King is the Editorial Associate at ColorLines.

King also works as a Contributing Editor with YO! Youth Outlook Multimedia. She was previously Associate Editor of WireTap Magazine. King's writing has appeared in the San Francisco Bay Guardian, The Nation.com, and New America Media.

King graduated from Pitzer College in 2007 with degrees in Black Studies and English.

Movement Activist Apprenticeship Program

Jamilah King is an alumni of the Movement Activist Apprenticeship Program.[1] King organized passenger service workers in Oakland. King has also studied labor history at City University of New York and worked on organizing campaigns in the Bronx.[2]

Mother Jones

In 2019 Jamilah King was a race and justice reporter at Mother Jones.
