In 2018 Chrissy Houlahan (D-PA-06) for House, was endorsed by Council for a Livable World.
- Chrissy Houlahan is an engineer by training, graduating from Stanford and later MIT with an M.S. in Technology and Policy. She is also a former Air Force Captain who spent three years on active-duty and another 13 years on inactive reserve duty.
- She has had diverse experiences. She worked as a chemistry teacher and was a Teach for America Corp member. She also has served as chief operations officer of several startups, including one that promotes good business practices.
- Chrissy is running against incumbent Ryan Costello (R). The district is seen as very competitive by the Cook Political Report. In recent local elections, progressives were elected to four county wide positions in Chester County for the first time in 200 years, and all four were first time women candidates. Chester County is the largest piece of Pennsylvania’s 6th district.
- Chrissy supports the Iran nuclear agreement and a diplomatic solution with North Korea.
She was endorsed again in 2020.
