Barb Ferrill Van Hoy is affiliated with the Colorado DSA.


When Barb Ferrill Van Hoy is not at work she can be found performing in a dance troupe called Mizmar Madness and she previously taught belly dance for five years.

Van Hoy has 12 years of nonprofit fundraising and management experience.

Her expertise includes development and maintenance of all aspects of resource development. She’s worked on individual donor campaigns, grant acquisition and management, investor communications, database and volunteer management, and annual budget and fundraising planning.

Active in civic leadership, Van Hoy has been precinct captain for the El Paso County Democratic Party, board chairwoman for Voters Network and a board member on Colorado Common Cause 2001. Since 2000, she has been an instructor, performer and troupe director for Middle Eastern Dance.

She has a bachelor’s degree in political science from Metropolitan State College of Denver.

She is married to Jeremy Van Hoy.[1]

Democratic Socialists of America

Barb Ferrill was elected to the Democratic Socialists of America National Political Committee[2], at the November 1997 DSA National Convention in Columbus Ohio.
