Samuel Rayburn (January 6, 1882 – November 16, 1961) was a Democratic Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives for seventeen years.

ACLU Member

On Feb. 8, 1946, a National Committee of the American Civil Liberties Union met. Rayburn received a letter from Earnie Adamson about those on the Committee.[1]
