David Raileanu
David Raileanu has seen the face of apathetic criminal negligence of the medical community and its consequences in different communities in Chicago, IL and Memphis, TN. He saw that clinics, instead of building resources to address the higher heart disease rates in the inner city, tended to open cosmetic vein clinics and sell property to boutique weight loss centers instead. He later went on to work for a company associated with Medicaid, vying for a position that was more directly beneficial to the public and not the healthy wealthy. In this, David has launched programs to increase access to routine cancer screenings and treat chronic health conditions. As a member of the Providence Democratic Socialists of America, David looks not only to treat the symptoms of a failing system, but to create a new system that is equitable and beneficial to everyone.
