New Ground was Chicago Democratic Socialists of America's publication.

When the Democratic Socialist Organizing Committee (DSOC) merged with the New American Movement in 1982, the Chicago DSOC chapter's newsletter, Turn Left, merged with the Chicago DSA newsletter.

Turn Left was replaced by The Chicago Socialist, a union printed bi-monthly magazine that was published from 1982 through 1984. The Chicago Socialist was replaced by DSA News from 1985 through most of 1987. The DSA News was replaced by New Ground.

The print edition of New Ground is distributed free to Chicago DSA members.[1]
