Standing for AD 34

In 2019 Sandy Reding stood from AD 34 for the California Democratic Party Central Committee.

As a current elected Assembly District Delegate, I attended the last Democratic State Convention and was a strong advocate for our community. I joined multiple caucuses, and participated in the meetings and plenary sessions, in addition to voting in the best interest of our community/district. As an RN, I have served this community for over 30 Years in many capacities, including volunteering at the ALA asthma camp; volunteering after Hurricanes Katrina and Harvey caring for the sick and injured, and volunteering in the elementary school classrooms for many years. Being a member of the Democratic Women of Kern, and participating in the Kern County Women’s March, I have had the opportunity to network with great activists throughout Kern County and beyond.

If re-elected, I will continue to fight for social, economic and environmental justice, as well as healthcare as a human right. I humbly ask for your support and vote, as I continue my journey to stand up for what’s right. As a board member of the California Nurses Association, Vice President of the Central Labor Council and Vice President of National Nurses United, in addition to my community activism, I believe that I am uniquely qualified to serve as an Executive Board Representative. Thank you for taking the time to read my statement, and I look forward to meeting you during the Assembly District elections.[1]
