Portland DSA member and political theorist Jason Lawrence will be leading us in discussion about the democratic part of democratic socialism. We are the Democratic Socialists of America, but what do we mean by "democratic" and "socialist?” What is democracy, anyway? And what's the difference between "democratic socialism" and "social democracy"?
