Background

Kelly Sinclair is a novelist and songwriter born and raised on the Texas Panhandle. Currently living in Central Texas, she earned a degree in mass communications from the University of Texas-Permian Basin, which is the heart of oil country. She worked as a small-town reporter for several years. She is an author with GLBT-focused Blue Feather Books, alternating each title from general to science fiction. Her SF work, "In the Now," was a 2013 finalist at the Lambda Association Literary Awards. Her work with Communist Party USA's People's World thus far has covered water rights, workplace safety, a political rally in Austin, a Latino protest song, and genetically-modified crops.[1]

Kelly Sinclair submitted an article "Lenin or What's in a name?" to the 30th National Convention, Communist Party USA, Convention Discussion.

We are a communist party. A Marxist party. Although Lenin's insights may not altogether apply to our current situation, is there still a place for him?
