George Washington University Progressive Student Union November 13, 2015:
This afternoon, to wrap up our Worker Week of Appreciation, members of the PSU Coordinating Committee met with Alicia Knight - Senior Vice President for the Division of Operations.
We met to discuss the future of GW Campus Dining and Campus Services, and expressed our concerns as members of student body.
As the future of dining and services on campus are unclear, we vocalized the need for greater transparency, worker retention, and a commitment to fostering greater community amongst all those who make this campus the beautiful place we know it to be.
This week is a reminder of the need to build relationships between students and workers, and to continue to see our struggles as connected. — with Kendahl Hawkins, Cristian Alex Izquierdo, Ali Oksner, Ceci Contreras, Ross Berry and Henry Klapper.
