In 1992 Jim Ryder, President ILWU local 6 Oakland, endorsed the Committees of Correspondence national conference Conference on Perspectives for Democracy and Socialism in the 90s held at Berkeley California July 17-19.[1]

Ryder was chair of the Local and also chair of the Central Kentucky Council for Peace and Justice.[3]
