In 1965 Perry Cartwright was a Board Member of Chicago Committee to Defend the Bill of Rights[2]
In 1992 Perry Cartwright was a member of the Chicago Committee to Defend the Bill of Rights, a long time front for the Communist Party USA, then dominated by members of the newly formed Committees of Correspondence.[3]

On February 26 1994 a Midwest Regional Meeting of Committees of Correspondence was held at West Lafayette Indiana.
