Lynn Rivers is a former Democratic member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Michigan.

In 1998 Lynn Rivers Democrat was listed as a member of the Congressional Progressive Caucus.[1]

Arab American Political Action Committee

The second annual Arab American Political Action Committee dinner was held in 1999 and was attended by over 800 people. Osama Siblani welcomed the audience and introduced Samer Jaafar the Chairman of the Endorsement Committee. AAPAC's president Abed Hammoud delivered the organization's message and plans for the future. The Council for a Livable World, founded in 1962 by long-time socialist activist and alleged Soviet agent, Leo Szilard, is a non-profit advocacy organization that seeks to "reduce the danger of nuclear weapons and increase national security", primarily through supporting progressive, congressional candidates who support their policies. The Council supported Lynn Rivers in her successful House of Representatives run as candidate for Michigan.[3]
