James Fallows is an author of the book Free Flight, published by PublicAffairs Books, which has published authors such as George Soros. He is also a member of the New America Foundation Board of Directors.[1] Founded in 1999 by Ted Halstead, the Foundation is a leftist public policy institute which claims to be nonpartisan, and seeks pragmatic solutions to "the next generation of challenges facing the United States".[2][3]
