Tom Weisskopfholds a Ph.D. in Economics from MIT and is Professor ofEconomics at the University of Michigan, where he also teaches in the Social Science Program of the Residential College.
He is a long-time member of the Union for Radical Political Economics and the Democratic Socialists of America[1].

In 1968, Tom Weisskopf was a founding member of the Union for Radical Political Economics, an alternative professional organization for left political economists and an intellectual home for academics, policy-makers, and activists.[3]
