In 1999, Sierra Thai-Binh, Venceremos Brigade; Iman Farajjalah, of the Arab Women’s Solidarity Association; Sun Lee and Betty Song of Asian Pacific Islanders for Community Empowerment gave talks at an Educational Forum on Cuba, Iraq and north Korea entitled "International Sanctions: The Silent War" The talks were sponsored by the Committees of Correspondence for Democracy and Socialism linked organization, the Center for Political Education.[1]
