In 1998 Isserles was a member of CUNY Democratic Socialists of America.[1]
CUNY heritage
Robin G. Isserles is the third generation her family to be a part of the CUNY system. Her maternal grandmother, while a single mother raising two young children, took classes at City College Downtown (what later became Baruch) to become a teacher, both her parents graduated from Queens College, and Robin Isserles graduated from the Graduate Center and now teaches at BMCC.
Isserles started teaching at BMCC as a part-time instructor back in 1993. I became a member of the full-time faculty in Spring of 2000. She teaches Introduction to Sociology and the Sociology of the Family, both on site and on line.<re> http://www1.bmcc.cuny.edu/faculty/fp.jsp?f=risserles</ref>
