Chip Smith is the director of a workers' center and an anti-war activist in Eastern North Carolina[2]. He is the author of "The Cost of Privilege".
He was assisted in writing the book by Juliet Ucelli, Joe Navarro, Elly Leary, Badili Jones, Michelle Foy, Malcolm Goff (artwork).[3]
