Jeff Abbe

Supported Communist Party call

In May 1992 the Communist Party USA newspaper Peoples Weekly World published a May Day supplement which included a call to "support our continuing struggle for justice and dignity"

Endorsers of the call included Jeff Abbe, Chair, Lorain Steelworkers Unemployed Council.[1]

Tribute to George Edwards

Jeff Abbe wrote on the 2012 death of Communist Party USA leader George Edwards;

What a wonderful tribute to George. I was saddened to hear of his passing. Knowing him and Denise made my life richer and inspired me to be more of an activist, public speaker and organizer. He truly did have that affect on many young workers. Long after George retired, he had a great impact on our Local Union 1104 and it's activism because he cared enough to stay involved and be a mentor and advisor to us all. What an awesome friend he was...[2]
