Richard McCarthy was a member of Democratic Socialists of America in New Orleans and executive director of Market Umbrella in 2006.[1]

The conference was held April 24-26, 1992 at the Borough of Manhattan Community College, New York City.

McCarthy also spoke alongside Richard McCarthy on the Do Revolutionaries Eat Fried Chicken? panel sponsored by the Multicultural Music Exchange Program.[2]
