Asian Americans for Equality celebrated their 40th Anniversary Gala, November 18, 2014, at Tribeca 360, 10 Debrosses St NYC.
Honored "Agents of Change" included Vernon Drepaul;[1]
- Being an immigrant himself, Vernon understands the many challenges immigrants face every day, and he knows a Citizenship status allows immigrants to better face and overcome some of these hurdles. Since 2008, he started volunteering at AAFE, and his dedicated service is very instrumental in making hundreds of immigrants obtain their citizenship.
He is a fulltime employee at Citibank for over fifteen years. His company is also a partner of the AAFE Group. Vernon is also a New York Cares team leader, and he has completed over two hundred projects.
He has built a strong relationship with AAFE, and he hopes to continue working with them.
