Hands off Venezuela!
In May 2005 Hands off Venezuela! circulated an internet petition: "from American trade unionists and workers to the appeal to the U.S. government to stay out of Venezuela." Fred Hirsch of San Jose, California, and Vice President of the Local 393 endorsed the petition.[1]
Open Letter to Obama on Iran
In 2008 Fred Hirsch, Plumbers & Fitters Local 393, Executive Board Member, San Jose, CA signed an online petition “A Open Letter to Barack Obama on Iran”.[2]
Labor for Palestine
On December 14, 2009 Labor for Palestine released an "Open Letter from U.S. Trade Unionists to AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka: Boycott Apartheid Israel".
Signers of the letter included Fred Hirsch of the Executive Board, Plumbers and Fitters, Local 393.[3]
