The '''United Packinghouse Workers of America''' (UPWA) (later the [[United Packinghouse, Food and Allied Workers]]) was a labor union that represented workers in the meatpacking industry.

In 1937, the UPWA was originally chartered as the [[Packinghouse Workers Organizing Committee]] (PWOC) by the [[Congress of Industrial Organizations]] (CIO). In 1968, the UPWA dissolved into the [[Amalgamated Meat Cutters]].

The duty of the Food and Groceries Committee was to collect from all wholesale and retail stores, groceries and food of all kinds and deliver the same to 4859 South Wabash Avenue, where the food will be distributed to the workers whoe are sent in with food orders by the union.
