Shavonnia Corbin-Johnson grew up in York and graduated from York Country Day School. She was raised by afoster family until later moving in with my paternal grandparents Rev. Roberta Johnson, who has served over 35 years in prison ministry, and Richard Johnson, a veteran of the Battle of the Bulge. .

Corbin-Johnson worked as the communications and global connectivity manager for the Laboratory for Global Performance and Politics at Georgetown University, alongside former US Ambassador to Denmark Cynthia Schneider. Previously, she served in the White House as the advisor and assistant to the Director of the Office of Management and Budget. Before her time in the Obama administration, she worked for US Senator Robert P. Casey, Jr., as a staff assistant 2014, 2015.

Shavonnia Corbin-Johnson, graduated from Georgetown University with a Bachelor’s of Science in International Affairs. She also received a Master’s Degree in US Foreign Policy from The George Washington University. She also interned for the Embassy of France and Senator Casey and worked at the Georgetown University Law Center.

In York, Shavonnia Corbin-Johnson was very involved with the Rotary Club 7390 (who sponsored her as an exchange student in France). I also volunteer at the Jewish Community Center, Helping Hands, and the Spanish American Center of York - Centro Hispano Jose Hernandez.[1]

Congressional run

In 2018 Shavonnia Corbin-Johnson stood for Congress in Pennsylvania's 4th District.[2]
